Welcome to the Fields Early Years Centre

We moved to our new premises in September 2003 in order to accommodate and expand our service. We aim to keep the same quality of service and the same welcoming atmosphere whilst offering much more.

The Centre is a Local Education Authority (LEA) provision. It is made up of a Nursery School known as ‘Willow’ (previously Ditton Fields Nursery School) and a Neighbourhood Nursery known as ‘Cherry’ that provides childcare for 3months to 4 year olds from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. all year round. There are also two community spaces where groups such as drop ins/activity groups/family learning activities happen. The aim is to provide quality care and education and family support and to meet the needs of young children and their families within the Abbey area and beyond.

Since moving to our new premises we have been designated as a ‘Children’s Centre’. This means that we now provide family learning and support opportunities as well as day care and education. We work very closely with Sure Start and other partners in the area to provide services.

We aim to have a close relationship with families and work in partnership in order to understand and provide best for the children’s needs.
